It has been said that hardware is like the jewelry on a house. Which led us to ask - why not design a hardware store that looks like a jewelry store? The approach had the advantage of eliminating some of the overwhelming vistas of wall after wall of pulls, knobs and locksets common to the industry. The storefront was designed to focus customers' attention on just a few select pieces. Once inside the front door - a larger but still edited palate of collections are presented. Continuing into the wings of the store - customers find a still greater variety of options. In addition to trying to help focus the shopping experience - the store was also conceived to allow settings for one on one interaction between customers and staff.
